Air Products Honored with Corporate Social Responsibility Awards at China Philanthropy Festival for 10th Consecutive Year

Air Products (NYSE:APD), a world-leading industrial gases company serving China for nearly 40 years, has been honored with two corporate social responsibility (CSR) awards at the 14th China Philanthropy Festival held in Beijing on January 9-10, 2025. This marks the company’s 10th consecutive year of recognition at this influential event, underscoring its unwavering commitment to sustainable development in the country. 

Air Products received the “Best Social Responsibility Brand Award 2024” for its relentless efforts to integrate social responsibility and sustainability into its business strategy in China. Additionally, the company’s LIN (Liquid Nitrogen) Ambassador Program was named the “Best Community Program of 2024” for its significant impact on local communities.

Air Products has been actively driving CSR activities in China. The company’s LIN Ambassador Program, launched in China in 2014, inspires the next generation’s interest in science and innovation through safe and engaging LIN experiments. Additionally, its Safe and Healthy Drinking Water Initiative, sponsored by the Air Products Foundation since 2020, provides safe and direct drinking water for children in rural schools.

“The Best Community Program Award is particularly meaningful as our LIN Ambassador Program celebrates its 10th anniversary in China. Launched in Shanghai, the program has expanded to rural schools alongside the Safe and Healthy Drinking Water Initiative, benefiting over 12,000 students and teachers in 80 schools across nearly 30 locations over the past decade. We are continuing these efforts and will extend them into more sites,” said Feng Yan, Air Products’ China Vice President, at the award ceremony.

Co-organized annually by key Chinese mainstream media outlets including China.com, ChinaDaily.com.cn and Jiemian, the China Philanthropy Festival is a platform that brings together people from various sectors to promote and celebrate philanthropic efforts. Its judging panel, which consists of leaders and experts from non-profit organizations, institutions, consulting firms and the media, evaluates all candidates according to the indicators of sustainability, creativity, adaptability, credibility, and level of influence.
